In most cities it is better to avoid urban public buses. Check also some other guidelines:
- Subway is relatively safe in most cities, even though take good care of your mobile phone and your backpack.
- Whenever taking a taxi ride, use your own cell phone app to check the route until the destination.
- If you choose a car from any app, prior to embarking at the vehicle, compare the driver’s picture registered at the app.
- When Renting a car:
- Be very careful with the route the GPS or app is indicating to you. If you notice that you are entering a neighborhood that seems suspicious, leave immediately.
- Avoid to stop on the side of any road, except locations with that purpose.
- Private highways have special spots of assistance with an emergency number you can call. Take note of the telephone number when accessing the highway.
