Jardins and Itaim are two of the richest neighborhoods in São Paulo. They are relatively safe by day and evenings. Prefer to visit when the restaurants and bars are still opened. As those neighborhoods are rich areas in the city they may attract criminal activity, so it is important to stay alert.
- Avoid walking around with jewelry or expensive watches, specially when walking from the hotel.
- When arriving at the hotel do not leave your luggage unnatended outside the door or in the lobby.
- Avoid using ATM machines on the streets. They are targeted by criminals. Prefer ATM machines available on shopping malls.
