The north and south coasts of Maceió are popular with Brazilian tourists for their beautiful beaches

There is violence in the city and on the roads even in tourist areas. That’s why it’s important to follow some rules:

1. Do not go ashore with valuables.
2. Don’t stay overnight on the beach.
3. Don’t be alone on the beaches of the south or north coast, especially at night.
4. Even when one of the beaches looks deserted, don’t leave your belongings unattended while you go out to sea.
