Events in the City

Major events such as Carnival and regional festivities among others, are usually very well organized. Even though it is important to pay attention to certain safety tips:

• Carry minimal personal belongings and don’t show off your cell phone

• Avoid large agglomerations of people, especially in Salvador’s Carnival

• Walk in small groups.

• Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages from open bottles on the street.

• Avoid eating food outside the event.

• Arrive and exit the event by taxi or app car.
