Manaus

Manaus is a special city as it gives access to the wonderful world of the Amazon rainforest and its rivers.

The city requires tourist attention even in tourist areas due to crime:

1. Do not react to assault attempts.
2. Avoid the city center at night.
3. The movement in the city should be done only by taxi or application vehicles.
4. Before any boat trip, make sure that the boat is registered with Cadastur. If your vessel is boarded do not react and avoid fleeing into the forest or jumping into the water.
5. Take trips to the forest only with tourist guides registered with Cadastur.
6. The use of a preventive medicine for Malaria and Yellow Fever Vaccine is recommended.
