Vila Madalena is a relatively safe neighborhood where you will find people taking pleasant walks during day and evening. Here follows some safety tips:

• Even when crowded avoid carrying valuables and be extra careful while using your mobile phone.
• During Carnival or Soccer World Cup, Villa Madalena is over crowded. On those dates the amount of burglary specially of mobile phones increases significantly.
• During the night be careful whenever walking or driving around. There are many drunk drivers leaving the bars.
